Sculpture Survey  Examples of Student Work

Administered a course of study that exposed students to the formal and technical concepts of sculpture through an introduction to various processes, including modeling, carving, casting, and fabrication.

Drawing I  Examples of Student Work

Developed and implemented comprehensive projects focused on developing technical and intuitive drawing skills from observational study.  Presented an in-depth analysis of aesthetic understanding of the elements and principles of design while providing an introduction to a variety of traditional drawing materials.

Design I  Example of Student Work

Designed and administered a cohesive two-dimensional art production curriculum that focused on the Elements and Principles of Design, Gestalt Theory of Visual Perception, and Color Theory.  I utilize historical art research to enhance students understanding and analysis, and Art Criticism to engage the student’s critical thinking abilities.

Design II Examples of Student Work

Produced and directed a thorough three-dimensional art production program focusing on the aesthetics, methods and materials, fundamental skills and techniques whole also extending students understanding of Design I curriculum.


2009 – 2011     Museum of Contemporary Art Jacksonville, Jacksonville, FL

Lead Museum Educator

Developed curriculum and educational strategies centered on the museum’s contemporary permanent collection (1960’s to present) and featured exhibitions for Duval County academic and visual art teachers, museum tours, community events and special programs.

Rainbow Artists

Designed an engaging cumulative program that promoted communication, socialization, and sensory development for children with autism spectrum disorder.

Voice of the People

Introduced inner-city students to art criticism and analysis using a literacy-based educational program focused on understanding through multi-disciplinary techniques.

Art Fusion

Provided hands on activities for children and adults to work collaboratively on a task that focused on the museums featured exhibition.

Museum Tours and Docent Training

Presented tailored tours that provided visitors with an interactive and engaging museum experience.  Designed the museum tour curriculum that implemented the Florida Sunshine State Standards and infused the years academic focus for each grade level.  Administered training to docents and volunteers on the museum collection, tour curriculum, and educational practices.

Summer Camp

Developed a 9-week comprehensive curriculum focused on the museums contemporary collection of art, assisted guest educators, guided teen volunteers, and supervised museum education interns.

Magnet Visual Arts

Administered intense instruction in the study and creation of two-dimensional and three-dimensional media.  Guided students in the design and development in a number of school wide murals, community involvement projects, and vertical program development activities.

Magnet Set Design

Directed students in scenery, costume, and stage design and development.  Collaborated with the Drama and Dance teachers in the creation of the end of the semester performances, and organized a student crew in scenery changes and handling of props.

Visual Arts Infusion

Integrated the visual arts across the academic curriculum and co-taught with academic classroom teachers to expand student’s modalities of learning and provide them with authentic learning experiences.

Developed a comprehensive vertical curriculum for students between the ages of 3 years old to 14 years old.  Provided learning experiences that developed their skills, attitudes, and knowledge of the elements and principles of design, art history, and art production.
